The Norwegian government will give a banquet in honour of the Abel Laureate at Akershus Castle. His Majesty King Harald will attend. Tora Aasland, Minister of Research and Higher Education, will be the host for this event.
The banquet in honour of the Abel Laureates has since Jean-Pierre Serre got the first Abel Prize in 2003 been held at Akershus Castle.
