Causes of ALS and Alzheimers are still largely unknown. In this symposium we will discuss the possible roles of environmental chemicals in the pathogenesis of the two diseases. Our focus will be on environmental metals such as lead and copper. New insight in the barrier toward toxic agents by the plexus choroid will be presented.
